What’s Grow London?
Grow London is a modern garden fair held at Hampsted Heath – this year running from Friday 19 June and ending on Father’s Day (21 June).
It’s website gives the following description:
Inspired by stylish European gardening shows, GROW London is a new concept in British gardening events: an urban, boutique show, with around 100 carefully selected exhibitors selling an unrivalled mix of plants, furniture and paraphernalia in a stunningly styled marquee.
Why go to Grow London?
We think it’s worth a look in – it is set up by Will Ramsay, the founder of the Affordable Art Fair. If you happened to visited his art fair last weekend and still want more – then we suspect you won’t be disappointed.
What should I look out for?
The fair promises to offer: “an inspiring choice of rare plants, stylish furniture, handcrafted tools and informative workshops to help your garden flourish“.
From our perspective this means some great things to buy!
Whether you have a large garden or something the size of a postage stamp – (or you just want some gardeny accessories) there are promised to be some top buys.
And if you need inspiration – here’s our top 5 picks:
1. Succulents from Blueleaf Plants
Succulents are an excellent starting point and an easy way to bring style – either in or out of your home. They are very easy maintenance and inexpensive. You can also design them as you please – grouped together in the above photo is striking or in indiviudal pots along your window sills.
2. Hanging geometric planters from Adorn Homewares
Check out these striking geometric shaped planters. Right on trend in metallics – they combine architectural design with your plant selection.
3. Nordic inspired chairs from NordEco
These chairs make an excellent style statement as well as being functional. Pick up a couple at Grow London – but make sure you book a people moving Uber to take all your goodies home!
4. Ceramics from Maud and Mabel
Maud and Mabel select their ceramics from top designers in the UK as well as Japan and Italy. Their pieces would look great in any home and perfect if you need to buy some gifts.
5. Plants from Lime Cross Nursery
For something a little more interesting than a ficus tree – check out the range of acers and conifers that Lime Cross Nursery will have an offer. Again – book your extra large Uber in advance!
