This weekend is the London Pride Parade and we hope you will join us in celebrating this wonderful event.

This years’ London Pride parade theme is Pride Heroes!

Join in by paying homage to those that have made a difference in progressing the rights of the LGBT community. As stated on the Pride website:

Your hero might be Alan Turing, Chelsea Manning, Stephen Fry, Drew Barrymore, Harvey Milk, Freddie Mercury, Marlene Dietrich, Nelson Mandela, or Billie Jean King, or it might be a group of people or an organisation like Lesbians & Gays Support the Miners. It might be someone from your workplace, someone mythical like BatWoman, or someone who’s less well-known but who’s important to your group.

There are many to choose from – and you can add your hero by using #PrideHeroes.

London Pride planning info

If you need to plan out your day – we suggest you check out the brilliant prideinlondon.org website.  The main thing being that the Pride Parade runs runs from Baker Street to Whitehall, via Oxford Street, Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square.

It begins at 1pm this Saturday 27 June and there are the following 3 main areas to enjoy the event (excluding of course all the parties going on in Soho!):

Now that you know all the details – we have what you need to make it your best London Pride ever!

1. First, download the Flush app

Yes, you read correctly – the Flush app. Not Grindr, Tinder, Scruff or Hanky – but Flush. We expect much drinking and standing – which means – many trips to the toilet! And if need to go in a hurry – this app will tell you exactly where’s the closest!

Here’s it app store description:

Flush Toilet Finder is the quickest, simplest way of finding a public bathroom or restroom. Simply open the app and it will display the nearest toilets to you. It’s free, no in-app purchases and has over 100,000 bathrooms in its database. You can even search for restrooms without an internet connection!

2. Get some new London Pride Tattoos

Now we don’t necessarily mean that you need to get some new ‘real‘ tattoos – you can fake it with the above tattoo sleeves. Pop them on as the sun goes down to change up your look and to keep you a little warmer!

3. Coloured mirror aviators

You will of course need sunglasses and coloured mirrored ones are Pride Perfect. The colour just adds to the festivities while their mirrors can double up to check in on your look (to give your phone’s camera a break).

4. Gay Tees

Be out and proud and show it! Make sure you leave no doubt about where you fit on the LGBT spectrum with a gay tee. Something to wear before you fit into your body harness later in the night.

5. Rainbow Tutu!

If you want to let your Pride outfit scream just a little louder – why not a rainbow tutu? You will stand out and never grow bored of twirling in this one.

Happy London Pride!
